| Founded in 1997 by Kumamoto Prefectural Government, KPCT( Kumamoto Prefectural College of Technology) is the fourth oldest public polytechnic college in Japan. KPCT pursues the excellence in the Practical Engineering Education for the prosperity of the regional economy and society. Five departments provide two-year engineering courses of Mechanics, Robotics, Electronics, Network Computer, Informatics and Image technology and produces the Practical Engineers of tomorrow with advanced skills and knowledge of technologies in the related fields. Our graduates are contributing the promotion of advanced technologies and high-value added production in the regional industries and especially manufactures. |

| FEATURES |

(1) Small Class Sizes Our lecture and training are carried out by keeping the number of students as small as 22 per class. We assign a computer to each student and provide state-of-the-art equipments and facilities. All the students can acquire engineering skills by using computers and educational equipments. (2) Intensive Education Curriculum Students are required to spend two thousands eight hundreds hours for two years to practice engineering skills and to acquire basic and advanced knowledge of technologies with knowledge of liberal arts. (3) Practical Engineering Program Our program is designed to give students supervised practical application of a previously studied theory. They are able to study the knowledge of current technologies along with technical skills. Lecture and practical training/experiments are inseparable. (4) Student Research Program Students work on research projects with faculty mentors, aiming at developing their problem-solving skill and creative mind. (5) Internship The Internship allows students to acquire valueable experiences by being trained in the local companies. |
